Working together in substance use prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery

CVPC builds strong, healthy communities free from the harms of opioid and other substance misuse.

Our mission is to create a harmonized network of communities in Central Vermont where there is no wrong door, no wrong time to get help and support for substance use disorders, and to prevent the initiation of substance use.

We take an innovative approach. Everyone is at the table.

And our table is always growing! CVPC brings together a broad group of partners who work in the field of substance use disorders including the areas of prevention, treatment, recovery, harm reduction, disease prevention, and workforce development. It also includes local law enforcement, EMS, and organizations that focus on mental health, housing, the justice system, and community re-entry.

Building Safe Harbor in Central Vermont

Central Vermont recently saw the award of a 3-year Federal Rural Communities Opioid Response Programs grant titled Building Safe Harbor in Central Vermont to help support the work that Central Vermont Medical Center is doing in coordination with CVPC. We invite you to learn more about this initiative and how you can become involved.

“Residents of Washington County are fortunate to have so many great partners working on this effort.”

— Senator Patrick Leahy
